“Let’s video tape that!” Documenting math work (manipulatives & diagrams) can be managed by students for reflection, review and analysis with a Samsung tablet. Understanding and reasoning of math concepts are shared in lessons; and then students must respond and get feedback. Students must also write about mathematics, yet this is often a struggle without talking through the problems and misconceptions. A tablet and the Seesaw program allows for efficient communication between students and teacher response. Multiple sensory modalities, including verbal, visual and kinesthetic are captured by pictures, audio and video. Parents can also witness this learning with an access code (for the Seesaw program). Documentation can be done in a structured situation with the help of a Samsung tablet and the online program Seesaw. As a teacher I can review student work and explanations on my time and give feedback through writing, talking or videotaping.
