As I mentioned above, a lot of my students have very different work situations that work for them. I want them to have access to places that help them think in my classroom. Part of that goal is giving them flexible seating options. Right now, I have a limited amount of flexible seating options for them to choose from and often times students will argue over who gets to use the few choices we do have. We are requesting balance balls and wobble seats. I want my students to feel like our classroom is their home. This project will help me open up my classroom to differentiated learning. Just as we all have our own specific clothing and personality styles, we also have our own learning styles. Where and how we sit plays a big role in our ability to access material being presented.
