In our work lives we often have the flexibility to stand and work, work from home, sit in a chair of our choice, etc. Why do students not have the same options? Allowing students to have their choice of seating and offering multiple options allows them freedom of choice. That freedom of choice makes students feel comfortable and produce higher level work. When students feel comfortable they get into their learning. Allow themselves to dig deeper rather than thinking about the next time they need to get up, go for a walk, sit on the floor and generally be able to take control of their learning.
