My first grade class is in need of a comfortable "Community Meeting Space" to collaborate, share stories, and get instruction. One of our school-wide goals is centered around social and emotional skills; collaboration with others is a major part of this learning. I chose Lake Shore as a resource to provide this rug. This large area rug will ensure each child has his own space to learn and share with the teacher and other classmates. We operate as a family and the students learn to share and be tolerant of each other in large and small spaces, thus moving towards meeting our goal of social and emotional learning.

About my class
