I am extremely lucky to have subscription access to several literacy intervention online programs through my school district. However, many of my students have an extremely hard time accessing computers! Many of them have not been exposed at home, or have PT and OT needs and therefore are still learning simple processes such as clicking the mouse or navigating a website. iPADS are accessible for all students, regardless of need or ability, and are immediately engaging and motivating! Right now, many students don't get full use of their technology center time because they are unable to use a computer independently. iPADs for center time would be more efficient and productive for all!
