Math and science go hand in hand. Students are required to perform algebra-based calculations in chemistry problems. However, there is a deficiency of calculators in the school building therefore some students are not able to complete classwork, exams or quizzes because they do not have the necessary resource. Calculators are used almost daily in the chemistry classroom, whether students are using them to calculate percent error or to work through heat calculations. Scientific calculators will allow them to move confidently through chemistry problems and to better understand how their answers support the scientific concepts. For example, they will be able to see how pressure and volume have an inverse relationship because the pressure will increase while the volume decreases in the problem. Calculators are an invaluable resource.
