In our art room we focus on creating artists who connect creating to their lives through independent choice based projects as well as thinking about contemporary artists. McGlone Academy, located in the Montbello community, is a proud Denver Public School, serving an ECE-7th grades. Our student population includes 96% FRL, 97% minority, 73% English Language Learners, and 9% Special Education students. Our demographics also included 78% Hispanic students, 13% African American, 4% White, and 3% who identify as other ethnic backgrounds. Additionally, McGlone is identified as one of the "20 Top Priority Schools" in Denver Public Schools, a list based on high student body rates for FRL, Mobility, Poverty, etc.
