My students are desperate for new books. I try my best to buy new ones but am limited on how much of my own money I can spend on books for the library. Many of our books are so outdated that they were outdated even when I was in elementary school. How do I inspire kids to read and learn to love it if all the books we have available are old and broken? My goal is for our library to be filled with books that the children can not wait to read. My goal is for every student to leave elementary school with a love of reading, or at least a love for a certain series of books.
