Having better equipment will help my students align their film projects closer to the professional standards they will one day be held to. The camera I am looking to start with is DEFINITELY not the best one on the market, but it will be a good place to start for them. But, they need a camera they can experiment with, so they can make mistakes and learn from them. It is my plan to use this camera to produce better quality projects such as, Student news broadcasts featuring vo/sot packages shot around the school and in classrooms where low lighting persists and the film quality suffers for it. Also short movie projects/competitions.
