Rundlett Middle School has a diverse population of approximately 1000 students in grades 6 - 8. I currently teach mathematics to 94 seventh grade students in a STEM focused program along with the science teacher. We each have one hour a day for separate instruction on science and math and then a half hour daily period to engage students in STEM concepts. Our students love hands-on approaches to learning where they can be out of their seats and exploring their world. We try to complement our Eureka Math curriculum with activities that support the standards but offer students access via multiple learning styles.
