I believe that learning should be student based. In my classroom, I want to allow my students to make the choice on how they are going to learn. By providing various flexible seating options in our classroom I am giving my kindergartens the opportunity to make a choice in how they learn. By providing flexible seating in my classroom, I am letting my students know that we all learn differently and that is okay. I want to break the stereotype that learning can only be done in a chair at a desk. I do my best work sitting on the floor, not a desk. That is why I am asking for 4 wobble cushions and 4 wobble chairs. I don't want to overwhelm my students with too many choices at once. I want to take the opportunity to introduce each new seating option to my students and teach them the right way to use it. The wobble cushion will provide students seating closer to the ground. It will benefit students who work better when sitting on the ground. While the wobble chairs will benefit students who need more movement while they work. These two seating options will be a great addition to our classroom.
