My students are allowed to explore the world now more than every because of the district-provided computer cart my classroom just received. Online resources are within reach BUT 30 laptops make for a very loud classroom. To avoid having to limit computer usage to only silent activities (typing, reading, etc.), the headphones you provide will open up the opportunity for a wealth of computer-based learning projects and can make research and learning more interactive and meaningful. I can allow students to use programs like Brian Pop and Khan Academy to learn independently and at a pace that matches each student’s abilities.
