These busy, unique, and wonderful second graders that I have in my classroom deserve a place that enables flexible seating and learning. Throughout our day, we have whole group lessons, but a majority of the day is spent working independently or in small groups. During this independent/small group work time, I want students to be able to work wherever and however they deem fit. Sometimes that means being able to get away from their desk and find a spot somewhere around the room. By having a comfy seat, like a bean bag, a stool, or a cushion, or a sturdy surface, like a lap desk, we can achieve this flexible learning environment. Each and every one of my students learns and focuses differently; as their teacher, it is my job to give them an environment that supports those unique learning styles. By donating to our project, you will support a learning environment that supports all students. We appreciate anything and everything that can be donated! Thank you for your support!
