I have chosen light filters and some softer seating options to create a serene classroom atmosphere. I will use the light filters to create a cozy space to aid with calming and focus for all the children in my classroom. Softer seating options in the cushions and balance balls will allow my wigglers an alternative to my standard hard back classroom chairs. My goal as a teacher is to create a sense of calm and focus to help my children achieve their academic goals. I believe that adding some softer lighting and seating will add serenity to our classroom. Learning cannot occur until a child feels safe. With calmness comes safety.
