With this instrument, kids will be able to practice their rhythm/music reading and expend some of their energy. Several students can play the cajon simultaneously, and combine different rhythms to make beautiful and fun music. Music has been proven to improve learning in all the other core areas: math, reading, science, and social studies. The physical movement involved in playing this cajon will help to create and strengthen neurological connections in their growing brains. These kids will also be working together to create their music. In doing this, they'll be developing much needed social skills that they often don't develop due to limited social interaction.

About my class
