Newer welding equipment is capable of giving more feedback than in the past. By combining video evidence, along with WiFi capabilities tied to the welding App, students will have real world feedback instantaneously. This information can be used to modify and adjust how the student operates each weld. Giving students real world feedback during the learning process is imperative to student success. The video, along with tablet feedback will give all students concrete reasoning for how to operate and adjust their welding practices. In many cases by reviewing the information from the machine, as well as supporting video students are much more likely to understand the entire process. By bringing our welding system up to current standards, this will reinforce to students the processes and actions that I have talked about in the classroom and lab setting.
