In the midst of this crazy New York winter weather and particularly bad flu season, our classroom is missing some essential things to make our students successful. Many of our students can't bring in lunch or school supplies in on their own. Without these basic things, it is incredibly difficult for our students to focus on their school work. Therefore, it is my job as a teacher to provide them with whatever they need to insure they are prepared to learn. This project will give my students the basic necessities needed to thrive throughout the school day. We need snacks, like healthy granola bars, to provide our students with fuel to work hard all day. We need school approved sweaters to keep our kids warm, endless pencils for them to write with, and cleaning products to ward off viruses and germs. We want to be sure that our students are warm, fed, and healthy for the remainder of the school year.
