I have been teaching Language Arts at Commerce for the past 22 years. Currently, I teach a variety of courses, including AP English Language and Composition (which had a project funded!), British Literature, Honors American Literature, and Advanced Composition. My classroom is comprised of students from diverse backgrounds with a variety of learning needs. Many students struggle with literacy skills, while others are brilliant readers and writers who long to be challenged! All of them need a compassionate, engaging, and challenging learning environment to help them meet both their learning needs and potential. The projects that I have submitted so far have been for much needed resources. I and my students are so grateful to our generous donors for supporting our classroom! We are proud to be Commerce Tigers, and we invite you to take a peek into our learning environment!
