The EHS library needs a MakerSpace. We would like to give students opportunities to integrate technology and project-based learning to enhance student original projects. A MakerSpace corner would allow our students to explore and create unique projects on 3D pens, bookmark design, scrapbooking and sewing machines and be part of the "Maker Revolution." Projects can go beyond the poster board and power points. Imagine students making prototypes for their science fair or designing and sewing a new garment. How about designing their own bookmark as part of their research for prior knowledge. Further, let's bring back the lost art of scrapbooking and have our seniors create scrapbooks as they compare themselves to classic literature. Students can train on new equipment while discovering innovations, new ideas, perceptions, and talents. Further, our MakerSpace would be accessible to our community as part of our programming to our feeder schools. Our nook would be full of countless opportunities giving EHS a chance to explore the "Maker Revolution."
