This year, I changed positions and moved back into a first grade classroom. Due to this move, I am starting over collecting basic necessities for a classroom that implements a guided reading block. My students will be able to use the CD Player and headphones in a listening center. This will allow them to receive additional modeling of good reading. The leveled reading sets will allow my struggling readers to access text on their independent reading level and feel successful. Many of my struggling readers are on levels A, B and C and these books will meet their needs. Again, because I have recently changed positions, I don't have a wide range of reading resources for this group of students.
