We are Mrs. F's Fabulous 4th Grade Family (soon to be a family of 2nd graders next year!)! We want to learn, we love school, but we do not have all the cool techno gadgets and resources that many "upper class" schools have. Our parents want to be involved and help as much as possible, but helping with monetary donations just isn't a reality. One hundred percent of our class is on the free lunch program, so that will give you a good idea of the economic background we come from. We are English Language Learners, which makes school an even greater challenge for us, but Mrs. F knows how to "hook" us and make learning fun and exciting for us! Sometimes, though, it would sure be nice to have some of the "extras" that other students to make coming to school even "better." Extra technology, primary resources, Spanish-English dictionaries, art materials, and hands-on manipulatives, would help give us that extra "umph!"
