We have been doing some great book studies this year! We love Roald Dahl, including "James and the Giant Peach" and "Matilda". Unfortunately our class sets of books is lacking. We love comparing the book to the movie when we finish reading. We can't believe how much better the books are! We use the class sets to help us prepare for the many standardized tests we have to take every year. Having the whole book is so much more enjoyable than selected readings from our reading curriculum. I remember reading "The Witches" when I was a kid and discovering so many new emotions while reading, including fear, I loved it! Maybe that's not for everyone, but it made me love reading and I'm hoping to do the same for my class.
