The use of technology is essential and can make such an impact in the lives of my students. I will be able to plan and scaffold my instruction based on what my students need. I have noticed that the lack of technology used in my class negatively effects how my students understand certain concepts, vocabulary, and comprehension when dealing with reading and writing. I work with the Low ESL students who really need instructional support in order to score well on the Florida State Assessment. These tablets can ensure that my students feel motivated and confident when becoming proficient in English through technology. My goal is to help my students feel focused when strengthening my students comprehension of difficult texts. Since my students first language is Spanish, I think that they will not only benefit from these tablets, but they truly will enjoy them while still learning.
