STEM activities are an amazing way to get children problem solving and discovering numerous strategies. Reasoning skills and accountable talk are promoted and encouraged. I am requesting Design and Build Engineering Centers, Stand-Up Magnetic Write and Wipe Center, Create-A-Chain Reactions Stem Kit, Engineer-A-Coaster Activity Kit to use during class. These materials will give my students opportunities to build roller coasters, vehicles, bridges, houses, and create chain reactions. The STEM House Building Center also incorporates shapes (2-D, 3-D, and their attributes), which I can utilize to teach math and science standards. My students will be able to discover and answer the question of how everyday items around them work. Real world situations and scenarios are valuable to students so that they can connect their learning to familiar ideas.
