Research shows that crocheting is relaxing, calming, and reduces stress and anxiety. It builds self-esteem as they improve their skills and see their projects emerging. Crocheting is also a great activity that puts you in control of everything; the project you will create, the color and type of yarn, and the size and type of crochet hooks. These crocheting supplies will allow me to create a calming Crochet Club for 2nd through 4th grade students in my school. We will learn how to create projects for ourselves or others, or simply just to relax. We will also learn the beauty of creating and then tearing apart our work to begin anew. T
