I am a 5th and 6th grade English as a second language teacher. My amazing students want to learn English and be successful at it. They learn best when they can associate a word with a picture. They also enjoy drill practice with sight words, content vocabulary, and basic reading/phonic skills. Flashcards allow this to happen. Not only am I able to practice with them, but the flashcards make it possible for them to practice with their peers and feel successful. They also can use the flashcards to take home and practice with their families. They don’t have these resources at home.
