My project is full of activities for the students to use as they are mastering content and learning English. As previously stated, my students are hard workers and have come to the school to better their lives. As language learners, my students need information in a variety of formats. Thus, I am asking for a sentence strip pocket chart, sequencing sentences magnetic book, homophone match-up, laminating materials and paper cutter for our vocab wall and file folder games for language arts. I am also asking for items for math such as, math comparing sets, 3-D shapes kits, Coin values and names kit, math fractions kit, Base 10 blocks set, positive and negative dice, math interactive notebook material sets for students on level and off level, skill-based math games for a variety of levels, file-folder games, 10 frame answer boards with magnets, flashcards, a fraction tower, foam fraction circles and operators dice. These materials will assist my students in many ways. The variety of materials will allow my students to access new information in a way that is special to them. The other materials (file folders, cardstock, markers, paper) will be used to create teacher-made materials geared to students ability levels. Having this variety of materials is important to my class because with them they will be able to have access to the curriculum in a meaningful way.
