My group of students is very diverse in their academic success. I have a few students who excel and need to be enriched. I have many students that are struggling to meet grade level standards. This wide discrepancy makes it challenging to meet students needs. It also hurts the students' self esteem and divides the class. The school they attend is in a middle class neighborhood. Many families have been recently hurt by the poor housing market and high divorce rate.
