With the California science standards changing to a more hands on approach to learning, students are being tasked with drawing and creating models to explain the different phenomenon we are studying throughout the year. Using dry erase boards and butcher paper, students will be able to create individual and group models that they can adjust and modify as they learn more about the topics we will cover over the course of the school year. These models are incredibly beneficial to the students learning process. Seeing where the models started and where they end up allows the students to visually see and change their own misconceptions as they are going through a lesson.
