I am one of three speech-language pathologists serving the amazing student population at Lowell Elementary. Lowell is a hub for special education services in Seattle Public Schools - one of the district's programs for medically fragile students is based in Lowell, in addition to the district's vision program and all levels of special education supports excepting the Access program (Resource, Focus, Distinct, and Developmental Preschool). Nearly one third of the students on my caseload use augmentative or alternative communication (AAC) - such as communication binders, eye gaze, or iPad apps - to support their communication skills. Over one third of the student population at Lowell is currently experiencing housing instability. I would love your help in supporting these students.
