My district is a low income district with several students in a high-poverty situation. I do my best to expose them to every musical opportunity I can while I have them in grades K-5. Most of my students really enjoy music class, especially on days we play instruments! I am always looking for ways to give them the best music experiences possible, but with our current instrument selection it is often difficult to make my lessons work well. We have to share one or two instruments with 20 students and it becomes harder to engage the students in learning. With these projects, I am hoping to replace old instruments that are broken or non-functioning. We have not had new instruments in our classroom in 15-20 years! Thank you in advance for any support you can offer my students! I know they appreciate you thinking of them!
