This project is so inspiring because it allows students to use a variety of skills in an integrated way and to create something concrete that they can hold in their hands. It will allow them to take their love of computers and gadgets and use it as a launching pad to doing so much more. In addition to learning about hardware components and how they are connected, they will also be introduced to programming languages and the coding skills and techniques that go along with that. While it may appear that this particular kit is aimed at younger children, keep in mind that my students are working with highly modified curriculum and so this level is appropriate for them.
