My students range from 9th grade to 12th grade and work collaboratively on their high school news paper called The Platinum Press. Their paper is a national award winning newspaper and has been for four years in a row and serve a student body of 3100 students. However, in order to continue writing articles for their school they need proper technology to allow them to do that. The laptops they currently have are very outdated and are difficult to work with. They need to be able to access the internet with new chrome books and/or laptops. They use chrome books/laptops to write articles, design newspaper layout, copy edit, be creative with graphic design, and publish their paper.
