I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach 19 dedicated, imaginative, and inspiring first graders! Our classroom stresses the importance of being a classroom family. We work hard everyday to better ourselves as scholars and become leaders in our community. My students all come from low income families. The community that my students live in has a high crime rate, high rate of incarceration, and drug use. Many people view these as reasons for failure, but my students excel every day! They are hardworking and come to school every single day eager to learn. They put their all into each and every lesson and always encourage one another. I am so proud of my students and all that they bring to our classroom. They have very minimal resources at home and I want to ensure that I can provide for them to enable them to reach their full potential!
