Having an adequate classroom library will give students a chance to choose what they want to read. Having a choice will help build their desire to read. It is important that student have a chance to see characters to that look like them in the books that they read. I created this list of books that feature characters that my students can relate to. "There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are only children who have not found the right book". I think every student in my class will have the chance to find the right book.
