Our need is to replace 8 year old netbooks which are irreparable. My students use these computers for embedded mathematics programs such as STMath and Think Through Math working on key concepts. Through these programs I can differentiate instruction. Students also conduct research projects and presentations, and use the comuters for testing online for state requirements. a Our current netbooks are missing keys, have batteries that won’t stay attached, and often struggle with connecting to our wifi system which has been upgraded. New Chromebooks would allow students to benefit from what technology has to offer while not subjecting them to the headaches of outdated computers.
