I was hopeful that the hurricane damage to my school was not too bad. However, it is much worse than anyone expected. Our district recently decided our campus is too dangerous for teachers or students and we will be moved to an offsite location for the entire school year while repairs are being made. Because of the water damage and mold, I have lost all of my teaching materials and classroom furniture. Just like any teacher, I have put countless hours of hard work into my classroom and I am still a bit heartbroken over the time, energy, and teacher-created things that I've lost. This Donor's Choose project will help me rebuild my classroom. My students return to school on the 25th and deserve to have everything they would have had before the storm.
