My kindergarten Mustangs students are resilient and eager little humans who strive to learn and to belong to a larger community in our classroom. Many of my students have had several adverse childhood experiences at such young ages, yet come to school with a smile on their faces looking for love, acceptance, and friendship. Most of my students qualify for free or reduced lunch and 25% of my students are English Learners. For several this is their first exposure to a school setting. Fine and gross motor skills are still in development and they want to PLAY...which is learning in and of it itself!!
