Each of the items chosen for my project are STEM based which will challenge students' thinking through integration of science and math while reviewing important literacy standards, as well. The interactive playground set will go along great with texts I read to students that involve a school setting. A student favorite is The Recess Queen in which the problem and resolution both occur on the playground. Through the magnetic shapes/wheels and discs, students will have a chance to recreate settings and characters of read aloud books and share their thinking behind their creations. The LittleBits will challenge students to think like scientists.
