I am blessed to serve as the school counselor to approximately 270 students at a Title I school in a rural North Carolina community. All of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Many students also participate in the Backpack Pals program and receive food backpacks to supplement their nutrition needs on the weekends. My students are bright-eyed, eager, enthusiastic learners who bring me their abundant energy and amazing potential every day. Their daily affirmation is that they stay safe, try their best, act responsibly, and respect themselves and others.

About my class
