A literature rich environment is vital to the success of students. With good literature, comes good readers. I want to be able to provide my students with quality literature on their level...so that they can grow into lifelong learners, who cherish and love to read. Good literature is vital to reading success. However, having good literature on the children's reading level is even more important. It is important that they see themselves as readers, that they take ownership of reading, and that they see themselves as successful from the start. These books from Lakeshore Learning will allow the students to be able to select a text on their level from the start of school and to show what they are learning and how they progress through the reading levels.

About my class
