I teach K-5th grade students. Many of the students at my school are affected by poverty. The school they attend is a Title I, high needs school and most of my students come from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Many of the students in my school are worried about whether or not they will have something to eat when they get home, a bed to sleep in, and if they will be safe or not. The majority of the students are on free and reduced lunch. Some of them live in cars, live with multiple families, or they live in shelters. Mom and dad have to work two jobs to make ends meet and so the students are responsible for watching their younger siblings. The last thing on their mind when they leave school is homework and reading. That is why it is so important to give them the resources while they are in class and learning. During PE classes the sizes can range from 32-55 students due to teaching 2 classes at once. I have to separate groups into 6 stations to make it all work with that many students
