I have a class of twenty-four amazing, caring and independent students. Living in a low-income community, my students are faced with many challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Although my students face these challenges everyday, I try to keep things positive and optimistic by providing fun and interactive lessons for my students. My students inspire me everyday to be a better teacher so that I can provide them with a loving and supportive classroom. My students love to dance, read, draw, and even sing. Many of my students are being raised in single-parent households or are in foster care placements. They are not raised in typical situations but this does not keep them from coming to school everyday with smiles on their faces. I may not be able to control their home-lives, but I can control their experiences during the school day.
