I have brilliant young minds in my care. I am honored and humbled to help them learn math. I believe in teaching skills for success in life. I do not just teach them mathematics. Therefore, my classroom environment is unique. It feels calm and peaceful. I use soft, natural lights, aromatic fragrances, relaxation spaces, grouped seating (3-4 desk per group) and soft music. Your donation will allow my students to work together in flexible work areas. The items will facilitate them being able to sit on the floor or at a desk to solve problems. The easel will allow a group of four or five students, to teach each other. The dry-erase board will be used, by them, to demonstrate their strategies and problem-solving techniques. The flexible seating will allow them to work on the floor. I have waterfalls, fountains, rugs, and pillows. Students need a more comfortable work area while they use paper, pencil, and computers to learn. My classes are 2 hours and 20 minutes in length. This can be a long time to sit at a desk. The headphones allow the students to work on the computer effectively. I use math software. A student can answer a question and get verbal feedback immediately. Without headphones, I could not use the software. The noise level would be too loud. Concentration on the work could be an issue. Thank you for taking the time to read my request. God bless you!!
