Flexible seating options give students who have trouble focusing and fidgeting a safe seat to get the wiggles out while staying focused on instruction. They are able to move silently and safely while not becoming a distraction to other students who need a silent environment to work. Students who have choices in the classroom feel connected and are vested in their education. Something as small as choosing a seat that best fits one's needs as a learner can make a HUGE difference. "I got to pick a seat that is going to help me learn my best today!" I'd like my students to have the option of sitting on a wobble stool or stability ball. The active learning stools will keep even my most energetic students active, focused, and comfortable. The stability ball chair is also a perfect choice for active children and the chair gives support and won't roll around while they are working. The laptop floor tables are great for students who enjoy working around the room and will work perfectly with some of the other flexible seating options that I have already introduced to my students this year. Being comfortable and making choices while learning benefits everyone!
