My students are 80% economically disadvantaged students who need an extra boost to their confidence in order to become successful in academics. My students are eager to learn every day, however, some struggle with finding an environment that caters to their needs. My wish is to make their daily learning environment as comfortable as possible through collaboration. I teach 6th grade social students where we learn about different cultures around the world. Many of my students are Hispanic that are English second language learners and others are special education students. They are all unique in their interests, their learning, their abilities and so much more. They all have a desire to learn each day despite difficulties that they encounter. As the teacher, I pride myself in making sure my students are always engaged, motivated, and inspired to create their own learning.
