Our classroom is full of lively middle school students, all of whom love to move around and learn in active ways! An Apple TV will provide us the opportunity to screen share student work, take collaborative notes, and air play effortlessly! An Apple TV, printer, and toner will greatly enhance the learning of our students by eliciting a variety of opportunities for students to collaborate, gain independence whilst working, and take ownership over their work. This will all be seamlessly accomplished while I am able to freely move about and manage the class! Our students have started using musical transitions to elicit smooth and timely movements from one activity to another. I display a list of instructions on the board and indicate to students they need to read and follow them via a musical cue. Different music means different things; this helps students to transition quickly and get to work. In order for students to recognize the importance of all learning time I will create opportunities for quick and effective transitions, in order to do so, it is necessary to have technology in the classroom. An Apple TV will ensure all time spent in the room is used productively! A printer will allow students to take ownership and independence over their learning by freeing them of the wait to send information to the office and have the completion of projects relying on other people. It is one goal of mine to provide as many opportunities as possible for students to recognize the importance and worth of their work. This is accomplished by allowing them the freedom to complete and print as soon as possible.
