Educational research has shown that one of the most powerful and highest-impact way to improve the reading achievement of economically disadvantaged children is to increase their access to appropriate print materials. I would love love love to create a Reading Café on our campus to provide a place for my students to explore and enjoy books. "Dorky" and "wimpy" kids, dragons and lunch ladies that fight evil, baby mouse adventures, and Fortnite storylines. These are a few of my students' favorite kinds of book. I've prepped a place for them in our room. The space is just waiting to be filled through your generous donations.
