The materials I am requesting will help support the development of literacy in my students who face not only academic challenges but homelessness everyday. Nearly all of the youths attending this school are at risk of staying illiterate. A listening center can encourage these students, who are below their grade level reading, to read books above their reading level and understand them. By choosing to donate to this cause, you are helping seventeen beginning readers continue to have hope in their reading skills and their future in education. Thank you for reading, and helping fight homelessness, one class at a time.
