These materials will provide my students with literacy from different genres and different authors. It is important for my classroom library to have books that will meet the many different interests my students have. They are beginning to understand that books can be read for learning and for enjoyment. They truly enjoy when they have choices when they read and they get to pick their own books. Students dislike when they are constantly forced to read a certain type of book and providing them with choice has a great impact on their literacy development. These books will encourage reading and fluency for my class and will truly make an impact on their love of reading and writing.
